Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My friend had safe sex and used I-pill later. Last month, she had her periods with a heavy flow and suffered from cramps. Is that menstruation or implantation bleeding?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Menstrual irregularities could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by an I-pill. As your friend took the I-pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in her case. So she should wait for the next menstruation date, and get her home urine pregnancy test after seven days of her missed period date.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
