Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a CBC done six months ago. My WBC count was 3.5, which my doctor did not seem concerned about. Should I be worried about that low WBC count? I have no symptoms other than fatigue. If I had leukemia, would I have worse symptoms by now?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I have reviewed your query. You should not worry about your total WBC count. It is slightly low. If you had leukemia then your presentation can be more severe. Moreover in leukemia, the total WBC count is usually very much elevated that is around 1 lakh per microliter of blood. So the chance of leukemia is less. I suggest you repeat your complete blood count this time. You can attach your reports to guide you further.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
