Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female, my white blood cell count is 3.7 and the range in my laboratory work is 3.9 to 11.4, with no symptoms and no health problems. My vitamin D is also on the lower side, and I am taking supplements for it. I was wondering if I should retest. Why my white blood cell count is lower than normal?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query

I understand your concern. Your total WBC count is slightly low. Sometimes mild inflammation can lead to temporary bone marrow suppression. I suggest you repeat your CBC (complete blood count) with a peripheral smear examination report after one week.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
