Why do lower abdominal pain and a temptation to urinate repeatedly occur a day after sex?

I had sex with my partner for the first time three days ago. Everything was good, but I had pain in my lower abdomen the next day and the temptation to urinate repeatedly. But I could urinate only a couple of drops and felt discomfort. I want to know whether there will be any problem with this. And what is the reason? Kindly help.
