Patient's Query

Hi,

I have many symptoms of mental disorders. My symptoms are loneliness, depression, stress during work, and slow thinking and processing speed. I keep avoiding people, I cannot get along with friends because they are always laughing, joking, and watching movies. I do not like it even though I know them for 15 to 20 years, and I know that even they do not like me. I feel hopeless in life and the future, with low natural energy. I have been drinking energy drinks containing 50 g of sugar and 160 mg of caffeine daily for the last seven years. My blood tests are normal like CBC and cholesterol. Because of the symptoms, I am afraid of marriage and I try to avoid getting married. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I went through your query, you have typical symptoms of major depressive disorder, and it is the right time to start treatment before it advances and becomes resistant.

My suggestions for you are-

1. I suggest you start a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRIs) as Daxid (Sertraline) 50 mg one tablet after lunch. If needed, the dose can be increased after two weeks to 100 mg.

2. You can start a Benzodiazepine like Etizola beta (Etizolam and Propanolol) at bedtime.

3. You must do regular exercise or yoga.

4. You must try to keep yourself busy with work.

Thank you.
