Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got married before two years. We are planning for a baby now. I smoke five to seven cigarettes in a day. I did sperm analysis before preparing for a baby and found that my sperm agglutination is positive (head to head). My sperm count is 42 million. I have more sluggish progressive sperm than active sperm. My doctor told me that the condition is incurable. Please tell me whether it is curable or not. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Treating male infertility is difficult. But I would not diagnose you as infertile as there should be a consistent attempt for having conception. Quit the habit of smoking and drinking alcohol. Avoid wearing underwear all the time as heat can also cause infertility. Losing weight can also be helpful. Have natural intercourse with your partner. Try to have sex between 10th to 20th day of the cycle. It is the best period to have conception. Take vitamin E tablet 400 mg once daily for two to three months. Thank you and take care. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
