Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 30 years old, I have habit of masturbation. One day I found blood in my urine. Visisted urologist ,doctor told me it is because of excessive mastrubation and suggested ultrasound scan. The reports came normal. He wrote medicines which I started taking and a week back I masturbated again. Next day I found blood again in my urine. What is this? Should I stop masturbation for life? What can I do?Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I reviewed your pictures and ultrasound pictures report (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Blood in semen with a person less than 40 years old is mostly due to inflammation of the prostate or seminal vesicles and this inflammation can be caused by infection. In this case you need urine for culture to role out UTI and semen for culture as well. If cultures are negative then I will recommend MRI scan for your pelvis to detect any abnormality with your seminal vesicles and do PSA. But we take it step by step first get the cultures and get back to me for further plan. Do not worry, this problem will be sorted soon.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
