Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am having irregular periods. My cycle is usually on the 10th of every month, but I had heavy spotting on the 19th of last month. Then, I had my normal periods on the 10th of this month. But, I had my periods today, which is 10 days earlier than the normal cycle. During mid of last month, I had some Iron tablets for around three to four days. Please help me with this irregular period issue. Thank you
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com. I have reviewed your query and understand your concern about irregular periods. It is important to note that any form of stress or illness can contribute to irregular menstrual cycles. If you are experiencing irregular periods for the first time, there is usually no cause for immediate concern. It is recommended to wait for the next cycle to see if the pattern normalizes. However, if the irregularity persists, it may be necessary to take medication to regulate your menstrual cycle. Additionally, try to avoid stressful conditions as they can impact your menstrual health. Incorporating a healthy diet rich in fruits, including dates, apples, Manuka honey, jaggery, and spinach, can be beneficial as they contain iron. If you are already taking iron tablets, it is advisable to continue, as frequent menstruation can lead to heavy bleeding and subsequently iron deficiency anemia. You may consider taking the M2 tone tablet twice daily for a month, as it can aid in regularizing your menstrual cycle.
