Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female, and I have been having persistent headaches on the left side of my head for a couple of months now. I have been getting these headaches two to three times a week and it is a throbbing pain behind my eye, top of my head, and the base of my skull. The pain ranges from mild to severe to where it feels like a migraine. I do not drink much caffeine. Also, I have sinus issues, and I am not sure if this could be the causing factor. I also have some spells of dizziness from time to time. For example, one night, I was lying in bed, and I suddenly felt extremely dizzy with no apparent cause. Are my symptoms normal, or should I see my doctor?

Kindly give me your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

It seems you have a common migraine. A common migraine is usually one-sided. The pain can be mild to severe and throbbing or dull aching in nature that occurs in episodes. Some episodes can be associated with nausea, vomiting, or dizziness. Since you have sinus issues, frontal sinusitis can also cause headaches. Pain in sinusitis is associated with sneezing and watering from the eyes and headaches almost every day. So, I suggest you to consult a specialist, talk with them and take medications. You might also be prescribed pain relievers to stop migraine attacks.

I hope this has helped you.

Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
