Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 40-year-old female. I need advice on whether to proceed with trying natural conception or IVF. My husband had varicocele repair surgery 8 years back. I had 2 miscarriages in the past.

Kindly help.

Hello,

We welcome you to icliniq family.

I appreciate the confidence you place in me for your healthcare consultation.

The chances of pregnancy with natural methods are not satisfactory in your case. Re-perform a semen analysis after using antibiotic. As the age of your husband is 51 and you are 40, again this also hinders the possibility of natural conception. I advise you to go for an IUI or IVF so that the results will be fruitful. As you have had varicocele we cannot expect normal semen and sperm. Get the semen analysis repeated and if it is the same as before go for IVF, do not wait.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
