Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a married woman with missed periods for the past two months. The pregnancy test is negative. What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Can you please provide further details on your last menstrual period and menstrual cycle pattern? When was the pregnancy test done? Are you undergoing treatment for conceiving? Did you test for blood beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level? There can be a delayed pregnancy or suspicion of pregnancy that can result from endometrial thickening caused by the presence of a corpus luteal cyst. I suggest you test for blood beta hCG levels today and exactly after 48 hours. Please follow up with reports since it is essential for diagnosis.

I hope your query was resolved.

Thanks and regards.

Investigations to be done

I suggest you undergo beta hCG and thyroid-stimulating hormone tests.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
