Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 27-year-old male and have pain, numbness and bladder control issues. Kindly guide me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Pain numbness and bladder control issues point towards spine pathology. If you have done some MRI, then please upload the images else I would recommend a dorsolumbar spine MRI.

Investigations to be done

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

The DICOM files have been uploaded.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

On observing your MRI scan (attachment removed to protect patient identity) the L4-L5 and L5-S1 discs are desiccated. There are central and right paracentral disc bulges at L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels indenting the thecal sac, traversing nerves and compressing the right exiting nerve roots along with ligaments favor hypertrophy and causing the tingling and numbness, predominantly in your right leg.

The probable diagnosis: Neuropathy and neurogenic bladder.

Investigations: Flow cytometry if clinically indicated.

The involvement of sacral nerves leads to neurogenic bladder issues as in your case.
