Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25 year old female, diagnosed with PCOD. Since last week, I am taking tablet Normoz for that. I had unprotected sex today, that is, on the 14th day of my menstrual cycle. I took the Unwanted-72 pill within one hour. What are the chances of conceiving? Can I get pregnant? Please help?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns. As you took Unwanted-72 within one hour of unprotected sex, the chance of pregnancy is almost nil. So, wait and watch for your menses.

Hope you found this useful. Good luck.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

But, is it alright to take Unwanted-72 when taking Normoz? Is there any adverse reaction of these two tablets?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

No, there are no side effects of these two medicines, but as you are a patient of PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) and have taken Unwanted-72 which is an emergency contraceptive pill, there is a possibility of hormonal imbalance. It may delay your menses.

Regards.
