Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex with my wife for the first time day before yesterday. The foreskin of my penis got cut from inside, or there was something on the left side which started hurting. So, I applied Savlon last night and slept. Today morning, I saw a white substance at the tip, and so I cleaned it with cotton and Savlon again. But, I think it is a cut, and it still hurts there. My penis is thick, and my wife's vagina is tight. Is this the cause of the cut? Or will it happen after one has had sex for the first time? What should I do? Please help. I am attaching the picture of my penis before and after cleaning.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the images sent by you (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There is a small cut because of friction while having sex. It is fairly common for the one who is newly married. I suggest you apply Mupirocin ointment (Bactroban) twice daily on the cut area. I suggest you do not apply soap or Savlon, etc. With regards to sex, you should try penetration only when your wife is sexually stimulated and hence there is an increase in the width of her vagina. So, there is adequate vaginal lubrication to prevent any friction. For now, avoid sex until this cut heals. If the vagina is too tight, you can ask her to be on top so that she can slowly take your penis inside.

Regards.
