Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 19-year-old female. I have numbness behind my lower front two tooth with a toothache. It seems to be receding. I have this issue for two or three days. I have tried using Hydrogen peroxide with mouthwash. I scrubbed inside my tooth using it. I believe that it occurred due to poor dental hygiene. I have not maintained my oral hygiene properly and so I started to have its effects on my tooth. I am worried about my condition. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Kindly upload an image to see the condition of your tooth. For now, use Betadine mouthwash for gargling. You can take tablet Metrogyl ER (Metronidazole) one tablet twice daily for five days. Use Rexidine M forte gel for gum massage. Do not use Hydrogen peroxide. Oral mucosa is too soft and it is unable to handle harsh chemicals. You need to do scaling and oral prophylaxis. Kindly send the image of your back portion of the lower tooth to see your condition.

The Probable causes

You seem to have tartar and stain.

Probable diagnosis

You seem to have gingivitis with localized periodontitis in relation to the lower tooth.

Preventive measures

Avoid taking sticky or sweet or chilled food items.

Regarding follow up

Have a follow-up after three days. Kindly attach the image to see your condition.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
