Hello,

Thank you for stopping by at icliniq.com.

I am here to provide expert opinions on your medical issues. Firstly, I need to know if there is any bulging as well from the anus? Or do you feel constipated? Based on the information you provided, you are likely suffering from piles (hemorrhoids). Piles are due to swollen vascular tissue in the anus. Do not worry as around 75 percent of people suffer from hemorrhoids at some point in their life. Most of the time it just appears worse than it actually is. Early hemorrhoids can be treated by healthy bowel habits and a healthy diet. I suggest you should aim to get rid of constipation and maintain healthy bowel habits. However, it is a long process and will take time. In addition, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below:

  1. Do not strain, and always respond to nature's call.
  2. Do not sit in the toilet for long hours.
  3. Increase dietary fiber in your meals if you are constipated. The soluble fiber in bananas, papaya, mango, and other such fruits may help.
  4. For constipation, psyllium husk (isabgol) is also helpful.
  5. You should avoid spicy food as it irritates the anal mucosa and causes a burning sensation, especially during a flare of piles.
  6. Take a sitz bath when the swelling is external and painful. For that, I suggest you watch a online video on how to do it.
  7. Use an ointment containing Phenylephrine, Allantoin, and Hydrocortisone 30 minutes before bowel movement. It will reduce pain and swelling.
  8. Walk for at least 30 minutes regularly, it will help.

I suggest you incorporate these changes at the earliest otherwise the condition may worsen over time and it can bleed more. If conservative these measures fail and if it bleeds, surgery may be necessary. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
