Why do I feel pressure around my nose and forehead?

Hi doctor,

I started with a cold last week, and most of my symptoms (except running nose, cough, and hoarse voice) subsided. I did lose my smell, but the results were negative when I got a covid test. I began to suddenly feel pressure around my nose and forehead today. I am almost positive that it is a sinus infection and wondered if it is necessary to go to a doctor.

Can you help me with this, doctor?

I can understand your concern.

With the history and description, upper respiratory tract infections like rhinitis and pharyngitis are possible. I do not think it is a sinus infection.

1) Do you have a headache or pain in the face or eye?

2) Have you tried antibiotics?

3) Do you have any history of allergies?
