Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

It pains a lot in my throat on right side whenever I eat or drink something. This happened after I recovered from a cough and fever. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It can be posterior pharyngitis or especially tonsillitis like infection. Your posterior pharynx examination has to be done. If congestion is more, then it is better to investigate with CBC (complete blood count), ASO (anti-streptolysin O titer) like further investigation. Your doctor might put you on antibiotic and decongestant course for five days. Drink lots of water. Avoid excess spicy foods. Vitamin C lozenges can be chewed frequently. Salt water gargle can be done with warm water three times a day. You can consult an otorhinolaryngologist for examination.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
