Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

In your opinion, what it the best of the three to detect a sports hernia? A dynamic ultrasound, A 3T MRI or CT scan?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I think a 3T MRI scan will be the best modality to show a sports hernia as any small sprain or tear of the muscle can be seen best on MRI rather than USG or CT scan.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply,

Can a dynamic ultrasound also detect the tears?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Dynamic ultrasound can also detect tears but very small or partial ones can be missed. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
