Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am experiencing fullness in the right jaw, heaviness in the right neck and shoulder that lasted for days. The symptoms have been there for years. Also, my right eyebrow is higher than the left, the right eye is bigger than the left, and overall the right face is longer and leaner than the left.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen all your OPG (orthopantomogram) and lateral cephalograms (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Definitely, there is some asymmetry on both sides, but it is not a severe problem because some symmetry is always there. But in both, the premolars (lower 2nd typically right side more prominent) may have caries. I suggest you get an x-ray of the lower right second premolar whenever you feel free. However, I am prescribing some medications. Take the course and update me if no relief is there.

The Probable causes

Infection (caries).

Investigations to be done

X-ray, intra oral periapical radiograph.

Treatment plan

1. Tablet Amoxicillin 500 mg twice a day for five days. 2. Tablet Aceclofenac 100 mg as required. 3. Chlorzoxazone muscle relaxant as required.

Preventive measures

Warm saline rinses 6 hourly a day for 5 days.

Regarding follow up

I have prescribed some medications, and please update if you have any allergies to these medications or if no relief is there.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
