Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

For the past two months, I have had on and off toothache. My gum sometimes hurt. There is a decay where I had broken a tooth and it has just chipped away over the years, is sore as well. I have been taking a lot of Ibuprofen. Is my life going to be in possible jeopardy?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If you are not allergic to following medicines, immediately start taking it. Tablet Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for five days, tablet Metronidazole 400 mg twice a day for five days, tablet Brufen 400 mg thrice a day for five days. This will cover your infection. After this, give me followup after three days if you are having improvement.

Moreover, for a home remedy, you can put a clove in that place. It is very helpful in releasing toothache or put some clove oil on small cotton and roll it and put it on decayed part of the tooth. But ultimately you have to visit the dentist and get this broken tooth extracted.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
