Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My lower front teeth have become extremely sensitive and I have very severe pain in them. The gums do not hurt, only the tooth hurts. I have had cavities in other teeth and they have been treated. A cavity in one of my teeth that does not seem to be deep is hurting. How to relieve the pain? Kindly help.
Thank you.

I am here to answer your queries.
Take a painkiller like Dolo 650 mg (Paracetamol) or Acenext-P (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol) three times a day. Use warm salt water gargle twice a day for a week. Send a picture of the area if possible.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

Hi doctor,

Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I reviewed the image that you shared (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). There might be some pain due to mild gum infection as a result of calculus deposits. Do you have any large cavities on any posterior tooth? Sometimes infection of other molar tooth can cause referred pain in the front teeth. You should also take a capsule of Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day for a week.
I wish you good health.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I had a cavity earlier. It was filled but the filling came off and it got infected again. It is a posterior tooth as you said. I have attached a photograph of the cavity. Does this need immediate treatment at this time going to a dentist is risky due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have seen the picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Yes, it might be due to an infection of that tooth mainly. Take both the above medications as I said. Along with this, take a capsule of Omez (Omeprazole) once daily for five days. Take all the three medicines.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
