Hi doctor,
I had unprotected sex for three days, and I used a postpill for each day. Altogether I took three post pills for three days. As a result, I have had rashes all over my body for three days, and it itches a lot, and my face looks swollen. It has been eight days since I used a post-pill, and the itching increases daily. I need to know what to do about it. Kindly help.

I understand your concern. Menstrual irregularities, in your case, could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by an I-pill. However, as you took I-pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy in your case. So, I suggest you wait and watch for your menses and get your home urine pregnancy test after seven days of your missed period date. I also suggest you take an anti-allergic drug for the same.

Thank you for the reply. I do not have menstrual irregularities. However, I have a rash all over my body which is getting worse day by day since I used the postpill eight days ago. The side effect had significantly increased that my eyes look watery. Can you suggest any antihistamine drugs? Kindly help.

I understand your concern. Usually, this is not a common side effect of I-pill, but I suggest you take Allegra (Fexofenadine) tablet.
