Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can I get pregnant after the second day of taking birth control pill (first time taking pills) and having unprotected sex? In the normal menstrual cycle, it is my fifth day of the cycle.

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you had unprotected sex, there is a chance of pregnancy in your case (because you are not protected immediately after taking pills). Delayed menses due to hormonal imbalance caused by sex. Get your home urine test if you missed your period by seven days.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Even though I am not ovulating? Can I get pregnant after two days of birth control pill?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Chances are very low in your case. But, usually, it is advisable not to have unprotected sex till seven days of starting the birth control pills.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
