Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had unprotected sex and taken a pill after the sex. I did not get any bleeding after taking a pill. Then, I had unprotected sex again after six days. Shall I take Unwanted 72 today that is, after three days of last unprotected sex?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If you have not crossed 72 hours of intercourse, then please take an emergency contraceptive pill. However, if you have already crossed 72 hours of intercourse, then there is no help for taking the medication. In case of doubt, you can get a urine pregnancy test done with early morning urine sample to ensure that your not pregnant. Do not take any medications without an expert advice. Just get your urine pregnancy test done and get back to me with the reports. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
