Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a thyroid problem and currently on Thyronorm 112.5. I got my complete body tests, and I have attached them. Kindly go through the reports and advice accordingly. Kindly advise on any further tests also. My urine test report is showing something, and my blood report is recommending an HPLC test. Please guide.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I have gone through your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

And there are some changes noticed, including increased cholesterol, triglycerides, and VLDL (very low-density lipoprotein). These enzymes have to be controlled by diet and medications as well. Apart from that, urine infection is suspected, so that has to be treated accordingly. Some other minor changes were noticed, but they are not significant, so you do not have to be worried. Your BP is normal, so I suggest you do physical exercise every day for 30 minutes and eat a very healthy diet that includes vegetables, fruits, and juices. Reduce salt from the diet.

Your TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) values are low, so you have to decrease the dosage of Thyronorm to 100. And please take tablet Norflox 400 mg twice a day after meal for five days. Please tell me, do you have pain or burning sensation during urination? What were your previous TSH levels? Are you taking any medicine for BP or cholesterol? Please answer.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No medicines for BP and cholesterol. This is the first time I took the blood report, and they have suggested the HPLC test. I do not have any burning sensation, but I had pain in the right flank for five minutes a few days back.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Then please take tablet Norflox as I prescribed. The pain can be associated with urinary tract infection only. If you experience pain again, then take tablet Voveran (Diclofenac) 75 mg once after the meal. After five days, let me know your condition. Please tell me about your previous thyroid values.

Treatment plan

Antibiotics.
