Hi doctor,
It appears like an infection. I do not know if it could be a genital herpes outbreak. Can you please give me your opinion about this skin condition that is more visible on my penis glans? My initial outbreak was on the glans. But now more pimples are evident.

I have gone through your query and the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You would have had a previous outbreak of HSV (herpes simplex virus). The current condition does not appear to be an outbreak of the same. It seems to be an exaggerating dermal gland. A clinical examination is needed to confirm. HSV infection appears to have more pimples on penis or fluid-filled vesicles. If it persists or causes any symptoms, I would advise you visit your local urologist or dermatologist for a physical exam to confirm.

Yesterday, I also had the urge to pee more times than usual with urgency. Can it be a urinary tract infection that is manifesting this way? I found a similar photo online where a comment suggested checking for ureaplasma urealyticum in a urine test. Could this be a kind of mild balanitis as a side effect of herpes?

If it is associated with urinary symptoms, it is possible to have an association with UTI (urinary tract infection). It is possible to be associated with any pathogen not specifically ureaplasma. You could have a post-herpetic scar. But they are usually not symptomatic or infective.
