Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 years old and 16 weeks pregnant with twins. I had a yeast infection detected two days ago, and the doctor prescribed me Zocon 150 mg and Cansoft 100 mg pessaries. For one week or more, I have faced blood clots like slippery discharge every time I go to pass urine and have lower abdomen pain. I have no other symptoms, only egg white like slippery blood coming through the vagina. My twins had a normal heartbeat when the doctor checked. Some 8 to 9 days ago, I had a fever, body pain, and shivering. The doctor suggested Dolo 500 mg. After that, the fever was gone, but constipation started along with some mucus-like brownish discharge that came from the vagina.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have vaginal candidiasis from your symptoms and the vaginal swab report (the attachment has been removed to protect the patient's privacy).

Cansoft 100 mg pessaries (Clotrimazole) should be used for seven nights, and Zocon (Fluconazole) 150 mg single tablet should be sufficient. In case your symptoms do not improve, take Zocon twice a week for a total of five doses. The clots are due to candidiasis. Take the complete treatment; then, if it does not resolve, we need to do a urine test.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Will these medicines stop the blood discharge and abdominal pain?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The blood discharge is due to candidiasis. It should decrease with the medicines. The pain should also reduce with this. In case the pain does not reduce, you should get a urine test done.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
