Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have soreness around the vagina for about two days. I have done an STI test today. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the image shared by you (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I will surely help you with your problem. What is the result of your STI (sexually transmitted infection)? Does your partner also have a similar problem, has he got himself checked or not? Is there any fever, burning, itching? For relief, you may consider applying Soframycin (Framycetin) cream. For pain, you can take Paracetamol. Further oral antibiotics, antiviral medication can be started based upon your STI results.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

All STI results came back today as negative. The doctor prescribed Flagyl (Metronidazole). My partner has absolutely no symptoms at all. There is no itching. Just immense pain whenever it is touched or when I move around.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

That is great, all your STI results are negative. Single dose Flagyl 2 gm (Metronidazole) is fine. You can have Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 500 mg twice daily for three days for pain relief. Apply local antibiotic cream like Soframycin (Framycetin). You can sit in lukewarm water (not hot or boiling) for 10 minutes, twice daily for three days it will help in reducing inflammation and pain. Avoid sexual intercourse.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
