Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old, and for the past couple of months, whenever I clean my inner vagina flap white dead skin is seen. I went to my gynecologist the first time and she said I had a yeast infection so I took medication and everything but it still did not go. I did another swab and my results were normal. I cut out sugar and still, it has not gone. I have changed my diet, used a Boric acid suppository, and taken pro and prebiotics. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand that you are troubled by the presence of a thick white discharge on your labia, if you do not have itching or foul smell it is less likely to be a yeast infection. Have you tried applying antifungal cream on the outside, not inside the vagina? I suggest you try Candid (Clotrimazole) ointment. I hope I have answered all your doubts.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Sometimes there is mild itching. I use water every time I use the bathroom. I never use genital washes. I will get my Candid ointment. Is there a need for taking vitamin supplements?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Make sure to dry up the genitals after using water. If it is kept moist it could cause this and you can increase probiotics in your diet like yogurt, which should be sufficient.

Thank you.
