Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would suggest you to check for serum ferritin levels, if they are low.

Answer the questions for more details and further suggestions.

  1. How often do you use razors and which razor do you use?
  2. Is the chin part under chronic friction?
  3. Are you under any kind of stress?
  4. Do you have any habit of smoking or alcohol?
  5. Any contact with irritant chemicals?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Here are my answers,

I never tested serum ferritin levels. But as per my previous routine blood test, everything is normal. I do not have iron deficiency. I am taking multivitamins (Follihair) occasionally, containing iron.

  1. I use a Gillette presto razor and no chronic friction.
  2. I am under moderate stress and I occasionally smoke and drink.
  3. I have not had any contact with the irritant chemicals.

Looking forward to your response doctor.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The causes for white hair are smoking, stress, and intake of carbohydrates or sugary foods, nutritional deficiencies (iron or iodine or vitamin or protein), exposure to toxins or pollutants in water. Certain medical conditions like thyroid disorders, vitiligo (autoimmune disorder), or due to certain medications.

I would suggest you take-

  1. Tablet Calcium Pantothenate 200 mg/day for two to four months.
  2. Eat food rich in iron, vitamin B12, and proteins such as fresh green leafy vegetables, fruits, juices, eggs, and dairy products.
  3. Avoid excessive intake of soda, cakes, candies, chocolates, and food with refined sugar.
  4. Avoid soaps and shampoos loaded with chemicals.

This will help you. Thank you.
