Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached the file. These are the white spots I can see for one month. Can you tell me the cause and medication?

Answered by Dr. J. N. Naidu

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the files (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It appears to be a fungal infection.

You can take tablet Flucon (Fluconazole) 150 mg. Please note you take a single tablet and not more than that. Apply Candid lotion one drop one hour before bath. Clean with warm but not hot water at the time of bath. Note that it may cause mild irritation in some people if applied for a long time. You can clean it daily at night with warm water to which a pinch of salt is added.

Check your fasting blood glucose to rule out diabetes mellitus. More details like the history of sexually transmitted diseases, any other chronic illness, infections, and antibiotic use will be useful.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

One month back I had a serious urine infection and was taking antibiotics. Can that be the cause for the white spot?

Answered by Dr. J. N. Naidu

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I want to know how long the antibiotic was used and what is the antibiotic?

You can take Becelac Fortz one capsule daily with lunch for ten days. Make sure to drink adequate water, about 1.5 liters daily. It is essential to rule out diabetes mellitus, so please check fasting blood sugar levels.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
