Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old female. My skin becomes oily in summer and dry in winter. I also have acne-prone skin. Recently I used sunscreen but it made my face look darker and sticky. I want to know good skincare for me, for summer and winter. I am using a simple company facewash and it suits me. Can you tell me a moisturizer and a suitable sunscreen? Any other details for my skincare routine? Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. My advice consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications with their consent. You can use a photostable sunscreen Acne-UV (Diethylamino Hydroxyl Benzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bemotrizinol, and Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazine) sunscreen or shade lotion (Avobenzone, Octyl methoxycinnamate, and Oxybenzone) 30 minutes before going outdoors. Use Cetaphil cream (Niacinamide, Panthenol, and hydrating glycerin) immediately after bath to moisturize skin. Wash your face with Cetaphil cleanser twice daily. Attach a clinical picture to assess skin texture or tone so I can guide you further. Regards. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I saw the pictures (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). My advice consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications after their consent. Take a tablet of Antoxid-HC (Beta Carotene, Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate, Selenium Dioxide, Manganese, and Copper) once daily after breakfast for 30 days. Apply Acnesol A (Adapalene and Clindamycin) nano gel on the forehead pimples at night for 15 days. Apply 20 percent Aziderm cream (Azelaic acid) on dark spots in the daytime for 20 days. Wash your face with Ahaglow face wash (Aloe Vera, Glycolic Acid, and Vitamin E) or Cetaphil cleanser twice daily for 20 days. For painful pimples, apply Nadibact (Nadiflocacin) cream on the inflammatory pimples for 10 days. Take a tablet of Limcee (Ascorbic acid) 500mg once a day after lunch for 30 days. Increase vitamin C and A-rich foods in your diet. Eat Berries, oranges, watermelon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, carrots, papaya, etc. Drink seven to eight glasses of water daily. Avoid direct sunlight. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions. Avoid popping or pricking the pimples. Use sunscreen and cream as mentioned previously. Follow up after a month. Regards. Thank you.
