Hello doctor,
I have extremely oily skin since my teenage years, and I suffer from the problem of blackheads. I have been using a face wash that is a microdermabrasion blackhead eliminator. My blackheads seem to go away when I am using this product, but my skin returns to its original condition if I do not use it regularly. Also, I am trying new moisturizers for my skin for the winters, but I am having breakouts. Are the breakouts due to the heavy moisturizers that I am using? I have been using a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer as a part of my daily skincare routine.
Please suggest me what should I do to tackle my skin issues.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
I suggest you to use Retinoids (derivative of vitamin A) if you are suffering from oily skin, and blackheads or white heads. It can either be taken orally i.e. Isotretinoin (Retinoic acid) tablets, or topical application with creams or gels such as Adapelene (Retinoid) or Tretinoin (Retinoic acid). Also, wearing a sunscreen with high spf (sun protection factor) is essential while using retinoids. Kindly visit a dermatologist, speak to them about your skin concerns. They will guide you better on how to use these medications.
I hope this has helped you out.
Thanks and regards.
