Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 year old. I have myopia in both eyes; readings of my left eye are -17 D and right eye is -18 D. And now I have blurred vision even after using spectacles. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

There is a jelly-like substance in the eye called vitreous, and as age progresses, it starts to liquefy, and you start seeing floaters. In your case, it happened very early. So I suggest you to consult an ophthalmologist as these are the signs of retinal detachments. Do get your retina checked for weak areas or holes. And for low vision, you can go for an ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) procedure. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
