Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Last month I had COVID symptoms like muscle pain, fever, weakness, etc., but I was tested negative for both antigen and RT-PCR. This time I was in contact with COVID patients and tested positive on the 12th of this month. My first dose vaccine was on the 1st of last month. I have not got my second dose yet. From the 10th of this month, I was experiencing stomach ache or full abdominal pain. Other than that, I have no symptoms. My oxygen level is 97 to 98. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. If you have tested positive and asymptomatic, you should still take COVID treatment to prevent getting symptoms. Stomach ache may be associated with COVID. And most probably, you will not have severe symptoms because you are vaccinated. So monitor your symptoms.

I suggest you take the following medications:

1) Dolo (Paracetamol) 650 mg (if you get fever).

2) Tablet Vitamin-C 500 mg twice a day.

3) Tablet Vitamin-B complex after food at night.

4) Tablet Ivermectin 12 mg once in the morning and one in the evening after food for five days.

5) Capsule Doxycycline 100 mg after breakfast for five days. Please get back to me after five days for the follow-up.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

I am taking Ivermectin once a day, Azithral 500 once a day, Vitamin-C 500, Zinc 50 mg, B-complex once a day, O2 tablet, and Bifilac twice a day. Is stomach ache a symptom of COVID?

Can a single-dose vaccine give me some protection? As I have not taken my second dose yet. I was tested positive on the 12th of this month. Which days should I be careful? I will be risk-free after how many days? Kindly give your opinion.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Stomach ache and diarrhea can be symptoms of COVID. A single dose of vaccine will give protection against COVID. You should observe your symptoms for at least fourteen days.

I hope this was helpful.

Am I taking the correct medication, or is any change required? Please guide me.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If you have further queries, please feel free to ask.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

Is it necessary to take the O2 tablet (Ofloxacin and Ornidazole)? I have a stomach ache. Should I take one tablet in a day or two tablets in a day? After COVID positive, I have stopped taking O2. Previously I was taking it twice a day. Kindly guide me.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

If you have diarrhea, you can take the O2 (Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg) tablet, one tablet a day after meal. I hope this was helpful.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

I do not have diarrhea. But I have a dull stomach ache. It seems like the stool is not fully cleared. Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is better to take syrup Cremaffin (liquid paraffin and milk of magnesia) 15 ml before sleeping. It will help with constipation. I hope this was helpful.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

My mother has a history of antibiotic-related diarrhea. Recently as my family was tested COVID positive, she was showing symptoms. She has taken both doses of the vaccine. The second dose was on the 6th of this month. She is age 70 years old. She had taken Doxy, Ivermectin, Paracetamol, Zinc, Vitamin-C, B-complex. Her oxygen saturation is 97%. But now, she is very weak and has diarrhea around four times a day. She is not taking sufficient food. She is taking ORS powder two pouches a day. She is taking O2 twice a day and Bifilac HP capsule once a day. Please suggest some remedies.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In this case, diarrhea may be drug-induced. Did you do a COVID test for her and started medicine? Or just because she was having COVID-like symptoms, you started medication? Please answer the questions so that I can help accordingly.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

She was tested positive. All the family members (father, sister-in-law, niece) have COVID-like symptoms. My brother was also tested positive. Kindly give your opinion.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Weakness is due to COVID and diarrhea. Once the body gets enough fluids and the virus load reduces, she will feel better. So give her extra fluids throughout the day. Continue Zincovit and Vitamin-C tablet. I hope this was helpful.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you.

What is the treatment for drug-induced diarrhea? Is she taking the correct medication? Kindly give your opinion.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The O2 tablet is sufficient for diarrhea. If you have further doubts, please get back.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
