Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 58 years old male. I get angry at the drop of a pin. One single nerve in my left forearm pains like hell for two to three seconds. I have no stamina to walk. The area in my trousers around thread knot area gets brown for six months or so. I have lost interest in everything. Currently, I am taking Aztor 20 mg in nights, Urisol morning and night after food, Pantop-D morning and night before food, and Urispas morning and night after food. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I can understand your concern. Sudden onset of anger could occur due to underlying mood disturbance. This can be due to depression or may be due to poor impulse control. If you have sudden onset anger with poor impulse control like throwing things, hitting others or abusing others suddenly then that should be treated properly. Anger with symptoms like lack of interest in day to day routine, poor motivation, irritability, lack of desire to do anything then that could be due to depression. Depression can present with multiple pain symptoms too. The pain you have could be a somatic symptom of depression. In your reports, you have high bilirubin levels. This jaundice should be treated properly. Aztor (Atorvastatin), Ursodiol will help to treat jaundice. This can be the reason of your worsening of mood. You should wait for around four more weeks and get repeat liver function tests done. Once the levels become normal then we will see if the mood worsening is persistent. Did you have these symptoms prior to the onset of jaundice too? If these symptoms were present even before jaundice then that is due to depression. Drugs like SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) can be used to treat the depression. This will help in improving the mood too. I hope you found this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
