Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have itching over the lower part of my body, scratching on my penis, buttocks, and pubic area. I usually masturbate, but it has been a long time since I had sexual intercourse with a lady, over 10 to 12 years. I would like to know the cause, treatment, and solutions needed.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The symptoms you have are typical of tinea cruris, also known as jock itch. It is a fungal infection that typically affects the skin in the groin, which is warm and moist. It is treatable. I suggest applying antifungal cream, maintaining proper hygiene, and keeping the parts dry.

Thank you.

The Probable causes

Improper hygiene.

Probable diagnosis

Jock itch or tinea cruris.

Treatment plan

1. Ketoconazole and Beclomethasone cream. 2. Keto dusting powder (Ketoconazole (2 % w/w).

Preventive measures

Proper hygiene and keeping the parts dry.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
