Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My wife is 31 years old. She is suffering from cuts and wounds in her two breasts. My three years old son is continuously consuming milk from her. He has two broken teeth. It adds to the pain on her breasts nipple, and it has got cut now. It became dry, and the skin got cracked. By sucking milk, again and again, the area got more severe and mild itching is present. There is a little bit watery pus discharge from the wound. Healing is not proper in that place. Please help me. Let me know what medicines and ointment are required.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Based on the history, it looks like the nipple area is infected.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have attached a few pictures of it.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Features are consistent with tinea, a fungal infection. I can see the scaly red rash with a clear-cut margin, and it is spreading beyond the nipples (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). There can be a secondary bacterial infection. Since how many weeks she has this lesion? Does she have similar injuries under the breast or in the groin? Or anywhere else? Have you tried any cream or ointment?

She needs Luliconazole cream (Benzyl alcohol with Methylparaben), apply to the affected area at night for two weeks, and Mupirocin ointment, apply it to the affected area in the morning for two weeks. Before using the cream, clean the area with sterile cotton gauze (not cotton itself) and warm salt water.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
