Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

For the last month, I feel that something gets stuck in my throat, and I have to keep clearing it. I also get heavy chest pain on the left side during the period.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Well, it seems you have gastroesophageal reflux (GERD). Your acid symptoms can be defined by the presence of GERD.

You should start capsule Esomeprazole 40 (proton pump inhibitor) half an hour before meals. You can increase the dose to twice daily, half an hour before meals, if symptoms do improve in the first three days. Constipation sometimes worsens the symptoms of GERD. You should use Fibrocol 2 tablespoon full in a glass of water daily. Maintain weight, do regular exercise, and avoid spicy, deep-fried diets. Do not take mint, coffee, tea, or carbonated drinks such as cola and other sweet drinks after having a meal.

I hope this will help you.
