Can headache, insomnia, and lack of interest be due to excessive masturbation?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 43-year-old male, and I am married. About 15 years ago, I had the habit of masturbation for a long time, and albumin came out at night. But gradually, I imagined sex all the time, and pressing pain in the left side of my head began. At present, I have a pressing headache in the left side of my head, insomnia, or a sleeping disorder. I do not like to talk to others, go anywhere, or even attend festivals. I have no peace of mind. I do not bear warmth or heat. I cannot tolerate sweating in my hands, legs, and in my whole body. Sexual intercourse lasts only 20 to 30 seconds. Blood pressure becomes high in the afternoon. I have been suffering from indecision. I am taking tablets of Escitalopram 5 mg thrice daily, Clonazepam 2 mg thrice daily, Mirtazapine 15 mg twice daily, and Amitriptyline 25 mg thrice a day. Please suggest a solution.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

The first thing to mention is that masturbation does not cause weakness or sexual dysfunction, contrary to popular belief. Relax. The current disease is not your fault. I need some details for a better understanding. What is the duration of taking current medications? Any relief from current treatment, and in what spheres?

The differential diagnosis for your condition is MDD (major depressive disorder) and GAD (generalized anxiety disorder). Besides medicines, a holistic approach is necessary. Proper diet and weight management are necessary. Meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning also helps.

Follow up with details.

Kind regards.
