Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I popped a pimple on my lip, and I want to have oral sex. Will I catch anything if I have oral sex?

It does not bleed, but when I applied spirit, it burns. Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If your partner is healthy and does not have any disease, such as sexually transmitted infection or HIV, then you will not have anything. But if he/she has some infection or itching, then there are chances that you might get it.

If you want to have oral sex and avoid infection, you can use a condom to protect yourself.

Please tell me, since when do you have that pimple? Is it outside the mouth or inside? Are you planning to have oral sex without protection? Please send me the pimple picture so that I will check and let you know more accurately.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, I am planning to have oral sex without protection. I have attached the picture. There is no bleeding, but when I apply spirit it stings.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

You can have oral sex, but make sure the person does not have any infection. If he/she has any, then please use protection for the safe side. And clean it well with water and spirit after sex.

Can you please tell me when do you have this lump? Did it appear after unprotected sex? Do you have multiple partners?

Please apply Beclomethasone and Clotrimazole cream three times a day for five days on it.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, I have multiple partners. How am I supposed to know if she has any infection? I want to cover it up with a waterproof plaster, will that work? It seems like an ingrown hair pimple.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you can just put a bandage on it for a while, and to check if she has an infection, you can ask her or else to check if she has any lesions (pimples) or rashes in the genital area, or smelly discharge from the vagina. If not, then do not worry, you can have oral sex normally. Just clean it after sex with water and spirit. And please apply the cream I prescribed.

I was suspecting it herpes labialis. That is why I asked about partners. But it looks like normal acne, so do not worry and use the medicines I prescribed. If there are any other lesions in your genital area, please let me know.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
