Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 28 year old female. Yesterday, I met with a masseur for erotic massage. So, he had done the massage. After that, he had done body play with me. When he had done body play with me, then for safety purpose, I asked him to put on a condom on his penis and he did that. After a few minutes of body play when he got too excited, at the climax, he pulled off his condom and ejaculated outside on the bedsheet. That moment, that is, when he had ejaculated, most of his cum fell on the bedsheet, just two to three drops fell on the left side of my back. But he did not have any penetrative sex or oral sex or fingering or rimming or cuddling with me at all. Now, my query is, should I be worried about HIV or STI infection and should I get tested for HIV screening test?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

No, there is no need to worry. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) virus dies within seconds of coming in contact with the air. So, it cannot be transmitted by bedsheets or any inanimate objects. Even if the drops fell on your back, there is no risk unless there were large bleeding lesions on the back. For HIV transmission, body fluid to body fluid transmission is needed. So, stay relaxed. You are safe. Even if we consider the guidelines, there is no need to go for screening tests. The risk category is minimal risk category and the risk is almost nil. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

After he ejaculated on the bedsheet, I used that bedsheet to clean myself. Is that alright or should I be worried? Please let me know.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Even in that case, there is no risk. The risk is nil. Remain relaxed.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Yesterday I met a guy for erotic fun. Initially, when he came to my room, I sat on his lap and rubbing that with my buttocks. But that moment, we both were in clothes. After that, I rub his penis inside his jeans. In the meanwhile, he was fingering me, but a little bit and his both hands were clean. There is no active cut or blood. After his ejaculation in my hand, again I sat on his penis, and that moment also he was wearing underwear and jeans. In the meanwhile, he put his hand inside my underwear and rub my penis, and I got ejaculated in his hand. We did not have any penetrative sex or oral sex or rimming or cuddling at all. Now my query is should I be worried about HIV or STD infection? Should I get tested for HIV screening test? Please let me know. My age is 28. Height 5'2" and weight 130 pounds.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

There is no risk of infection of HIV in this sexual activity. So, please remain relaxed. For the spread of infection of HIV penetrative sex is needed. HIV virus survives for seconds in outside air. If we assume that he was infected even then there is no risk because there was no direct body fluid to body fluid contact. You were dry and his hands just barely touched your penis. This is the sexual activity which carries no risk. So, stop worrying about that. There is no need to go for further testing. Keep one thing in mind that if you plan anal sex in future then please use condoms and ask your partner to use condoms. Use lubrication during sex. This will minimize the risk. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Two days ago, my lymph gland near thigh got swollen and had pain. After consulting doctor locally she requested a complete blood count test. My test report is standard except leukocyte count, which is currently 11.93 and it is higher as per the doctor's statement. Here, I need to mention one thing that I masturbate very frequently that is once or twice per week. Nine months back, suddenly I felt pain near my lower abdomen when I was masturbating. I was not sure if it was some testicle infection. Should I be worried about HIV or STD infection and should I get tested for HIV screening test? Does this lymph gland swollen happened due to my excessive masturbation? Please let me know.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Swollen lymph nodes do not mean that you have any HIV. Your TLC is high, and this could be due to some infection. The infection has probably resulted in the enlarged lymph node. Do you have any recent history (in last 90 days) of unprotected penetrative sex? Even mild infection in urinary tract could cause enlarged lymph nodes. If you have any sexual relationship (unprotected) or even oral sex in last 90 days, then STD screen should be done. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I did not do any penetrative sex ever, and I forgot to mention that.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

So, you can remain relaxed as this is not due to any STD. As I have mentioned earlier, please practice safe sex methods in future. Always use condoms during any penetrative sex or even during oral sex. During anal sex use lubricants like KY JELLY for smooth penetration and never agree for sex without condoms. At present there is no need to worry, you are safe. Take a course of antibiotics and this will help in reducing the swelling. Ibuprofen or any other anti-inflammatory drug will also reduce the swelling. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you so much Doctor,

Currently, my local doctor suggested me three medicines for five days. Doxy 100 (after breakfast and after dinner), Hifenac P (after breakfast and after dinner) and PAN D (before breakfast). She told me to do one more complete blood count test after five days to check leukocyte count.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Yes, the medicines are right. If your doctor agrees, then in place of Doxycycline, Ofloxacin will be a good choice. Ofloxacin will help to treat the infection completely. Even Doxy is a good choice if you do not want to visit your doctor again. You can take Hifenac P (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol, an anti-inflammatory drug) and Rantac (Ranitidine) as prescribed. Drink plenty of water and take citrus juices. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Before 20 days, I met with a masseur for a massage and had fun at the end. Initially, he gave me a complete body massage with coconut oil, and then the fun part he did but with a condom.

First, he also put a condom on his penis and on me. Then he gave me a blowjob for a while. And I also gave him a blowjob for 5 to 10 seconds. But neither of us did not ejaculate at that time.

Meanwhile, he put another fresh condom on his middle finger completely and gave me a fingering for 1 to 2 mins. After that, he put off his condom and put on that fresh condom. After that, he penetrated my anus hole and did anal sex for 1 to 2 minutes, and at that moment, he did not ejaculate inside my anus hole. After that, he gave me a handjob and vice-versa with a condom, and we both ejaculated.

Now my query is should I be worried about HIV or STD infection, and should I get tested for an HIV screening test? Please let me know.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The activity was with condoms at all times. There is no risk of transmission of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). I do not think you should get tested or get screened for that. As we discussed earlier, try to avoid any high-risk encounters. Though you are using condoms all the time, even then, if possible, avoid these. This time you can remain relaxed.

Thanks and take care.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Last time I informed you of details information regarding protected sex that I had with a male masseur. And after 16 weeks and six days, I did STD testing. And I got the below result.

1. HIV: {HIV 1 & 2 - 4th Generation, p24 Ag & Ab

combination assay (Blood/CMIA)} ===> Result {0.18 S/CO}

2. HBsAg (Blood/CMIA) ====> Result {0.30 S/CO}

3. Anti HCV antibody (Blood/CMIA) ====> Result {0.05 S/CO}

4. VDRL/RPR (Serum/Slide Flocculation) ====> Result {NON-REACTIVE}

5. HSV 1 IgM Antibody: {0.17 NEGATIVE (Activity Index)}

6. HSV 2 IgM Antibody: {0.12 NEGATIVE (Activity Index)}

But,

7. HSV 1 IgG Antibody: {162.35 POSITIVE (Activity Index)}

8. HSV 2 IgG Antibody: {82.62 POSITIVE (Activity Index)}

HIV, HBsAg, Anti HCV antibody, VDRL/RPR, HSV 1&2 IgM Antibody test results got negative. But only the HSV 1 and 2 IgG Antibody test result got positive.

So I am worried about why the last two results are coming positive. And also, is this dangerous?

I am getting married soon. My query is whether I should be worried and if any further test would be required or if my STD profile is normal and I can go to get married.

And can I touch my life partner and kiss her without any hesitation or problem? Can I do other sexual activities with her after marriage, and can I continue my normal lifestyle without any tension? Can I have a child without worries?

Please let me know, Doctor.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Good that most of the tests came negative and now please avoid sexual encounters with high-risk individuals in the future.

The IgG HSV (herpes simplex virus) is positive, and this means that you had a herpes infection in the past. This is not showing a recent infection because IgM (Immunoglobulin M) should have come positive in a recent infection.

Herpes is not a serious infection, and you can lead a normal married life with this. But if you have any active blisters on the genital area, then avoid sex during that period and take treatment. Even after treatment, the IgG (immunoglobulin G) will remain positive, but this should not be a matter of concern.

So remain relaxed and avoid thinking about this. You can have normal sex if there are no active lesions.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

So, my STD (sexually transmitted disease) profile is normal, right? And I can start my married life without any tension or worry. Also, there is no need for further testing.

Please let me know.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your STD (sexually transmitted disease) profile is normal except positive for HSV (herpes simplex virus). Herpes is also an STD, but that is relatively less severe. Only an individual with an active lesion transmits the infection, and IgG positive does not mean you will pass the infection to your partner. So remain relaxed; you are safe. There is no need for any further tests. You tested negative at 16 weeks, and as per guidelines, no further testing is needed. You can start your life without any tension.

Thanks.
