Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I take 12.5 mg once a day, and I feel like my head, neck, ears, and chest are hot. I used to take Cipralex, but my doctor switched to Seroxat because I suffer from anxiety and have thoughts like I am always sick. It feels like hot flashes in my body. Although I feel my temperature is high, when I measure it, it is normal. What could be the reason?

Please give me your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

These symptoms occur due to anxiety medication like Seroxat and are not unusual. If you feel these symptoms are unbearable, you may contact your physician. It is a very effective medication for treating anxiety; however, there are a few side effects. It is important not to stop the medication abruptly (for any reason) as this may lead to withdrawal symptoms and worsen the condition. Kindly talk to your doctor if you need any changes in the anxiety medication.

Please feel free to ask more if you need further assistance.

Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
