Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been diagnosed with kidney failure, and I have attached my laboratory reports.

Kindly give your opinion on my kidney function.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have studied your reports (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity). You have mild proteinuria.

Kindly answer me the following to help you better;

1) You have not mentioned for what purpose you have got these tests done?

2) What problems are you facing?

3) Do you have a fever?

Please revert with the details asked for better help.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thansk for the reply.

It was a routine laboratory examination. All my other blood counts were normal. My biggest health issue is my anxiety and these numbers frightened me.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, your reports are not alarming. The only concern is controlling proteinuria. For that, kindly reduce protein in your diet. Avoid any painkillers. Do a urine test for microalbumin after one month.

I hope it helps you.

Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I also had an anion gap of 14.2. I just discovered this number in my laboratory results and my anxiety reached very high again. Should I be concerned or do something additional or should I relax some?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have to ignore this. Do not worry. The anion gap is important for people who are sick and in ICU (intensive care unit) struggling with renal failure. Just relax. If you have any further queries, please ask me.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
