Patient's Query

Hi.

Due to lack of medical facilities, we aren't able to treat my mom's sickness. She is 47 years old. She is diabetic, high bp and kidney problem. 3 years ago her womb was removed because of some infection. The problem which I am concerned about is that she continually bleeds like as in periods. but it happens very often. somedays even between 2 to 3 times . Any medical assistance will be highly appreciated.

A very good day to you Sir

I have read your problem that your mother is suffering from. There are a few things that we have to understand. mother is in the perimenopausal stage that means that she is around the age of menopause. This time the woman body is undergoing a lot of changes. Therefore the reproductive system is affected the most. chances of infection of the uterus is very common during this stage which is known as endometriosis. In endometriosis the patient also has symptoms of pain and heavy bleeding.

Does your mother complain of pain in the abdomen? menorrhagia that is heavy bleeding from the vagina is not something that can be ignored especially in the time of menopause. I will advise you to get some test done which will help us in diagnosing the disease. one is a complete blood count and other is coagulation profile that consists of PT and aptt.

I am asking you to get this stuff done so that we can rule out any bleeding disorder. if an ultrasound of the abdomen can be done then it can be very helpful. usually a trans vaginal ultrasound is done in such cases to get a better view of the uterus. let me know if I can help you anymore. will be happy to help

Investigations to be done

ultrasound- trans vaginal, complete blood count PT and ptt

Treatment plan

shall decide after the ultrasound is done

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
