Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have hairs on my nipple and lower abdomen. I had taken Myo-inositol capsules and Metformin tablets for three days. I stopped taking these tablets after three days. I am suffering from polycystic ovarian disease. By following a good diet, can I change my cycle length to 28 days?

Answered by Dr. J. N. Naidu

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest the cycle changes can be done in the following ways:

  1. Sleep for seven to eight hours daily.
  2. Eat more boiled vegetables and fruits.
  3. Avoid junk foods like cakes, pastries, biscuits, and pizza.
  4. Eat one boiled egg, green vegetables, pulses, and sprouts daily.
  5. Do not eat raw and boiled foods.
  6. Yoga and pranayama will reduce stress and are very helpful.
  7. Walking in green surroundings is very good.

Thank you doctor for the reply,

Do I need to take medicine for PCOD? I have attached the ultrasound reports.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I think you have polycystic ovarian disease from the attached reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). What is your nature of work? We have to go step by step. Lifestyle changes are of utmost importance. I suggest you follow dietary changes, do more physical activities, and destress yourself.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a chronic problem. Please be relaxed. I suggest you follow the given guidelines. I will suggest medications after four weeks, depending on your progress.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
