Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for replying. I have this problem from many years, but from the last three months, its frequency has increased. I have these headaches five days a week. It continuously pains until I take a painkiller. It is mostly on the left side, but sometimes it shifts to the right and forehead. From some days, I feel my left nostril is blocked. It is a throbbing and stabbing kind of a pain. I do not have nausea and vomiting, but sometimes I feel dizzy when I stand up after sitting for long. I have not done a computed tomography (CT) or an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). My eyes number is -4 on the left eye and -3.5 in the right eye. I sleep for seven hours. I used to take painkiller sometimes. I cannot use mobiles or phone for long, as it increases my problem. I am not able to focus on my studies because of the pain.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com. Your headaches have features of a migraine headache. With such a high-frequency headache, you will need some regular medications to control them. On taking regular medicines, the headache intensity and frequency will diminish gradually. I suggest you try taking the following. 1. Tablet Inderal (Propanolol) LA 20 mg, twice daily. 2. Tablet Tryptomer (Amitriptyline) 10 mg, at bedtime. 3. Tablet Naxdom (Naproxen and Domperidone) 500 mg, in the case of a severe headache. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines after their consent. I suggest you get an MRI of the brain and eye examination, to rule out other things.Follow-up after 3 to 4 weeks, with the reports.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
