Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My periods usually start on the 10th day of the month. I noticed spotting, but there was no normal bleeding. I noticed spotting again the following day, but my bleeding has not started yet.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Could you please tell me whether it is the first time you are having this problem? Have you taken any medicine during this cycle, like some contraceptive, and whether you are sexually active or not?
Kindly revert with these answers so that I can help you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am experiencing this issue for the first time. I have not taken any pills, and I am not sexually active.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Do not worry. Due to stress or some lifestyle changes, menstrual cycles can be delayed, or bleeding can be irregular. I think you should wait for one week. If you do not get your regular periods, then I suggest you consult with a specialist doctor, talk with them and take the mentioned medication after consultaion with them. Take tablet Meprate (Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) 10 mg twice a day for five days, and when you stop the medicine, you will get your periods. If this problem persists, then we may need some tests to know the cause. Get a TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone), serum prolactin, fasting, and postprandial sugar test and ultrasound of the pelvis.
Thank you.
