Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having neck problem for a few months with tingling, numbness, and pain on my arms and fingers, especially in early morning and evening. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your cervical spine MRI shows spondylitis in the form of posterior disc bulges at C5/6, C6/7 and C7/T1 levels indenting the thecal sac (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There is narrowing of neural foramina at these levels with indentation of right exiting nerve root. This may cause tingling numbness in hands. Rest of the spinal cord shows normal signal.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am only 35 years old. Are this MRI findings normal for my age? Should I worry? What do you suggest me to do next? I have the same exact problem on my lower back.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

These findings are often encountered and however, can be easily managed conservatively by postural correction and physiotherapist to strengthen the neck muscles. The same recommendation goes for your lower back also.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
